About the Muscat City Tour

Start at the Sultan Qaboos Grand Mosque, with its vast prayer hall, chandelier and hand-woven carpet. Continue along the coast to Mutrah, where the corniche curves past dhows and the souq’s lanes sell frankincense, silver and spices.

Finish in old Muscat between the Al Jalali and Al Mirani forts, around the ceremonial Al Alam Palace, with time for a museum or a coffee overlooking the harbour.

Full-day itinerary. The half day (about 4 hours) covers the Grand Mosque, Mutrah and old Muscat. It’s a private tour, so the times and the order of the stops can change.
