About the Empty Quarter Sunset Safari
North of the Dhofar mountains the land turns to desert. On the way to the Empty Quarter — the world’s largest sand desert — visit the frankincense trees of Wadi Dawkah and the ruins of Ubar, a stop on the ancient incense route.
Then drive into the dunes of the Rub Al Khali, climb a dune for the sunset and relax with Arabic coffee and dates before the drive back to Salalah.
