About the Jabal Shams tour

Jabal Shams, the “mountain of the sun”, is the highest peak in Oman. The road climbs past terraced villages to the rim of Wadi Ghul, a sheer canyon often called the Grand Canyon of Arabia.

Walk part of the Balcony Walk along the canyon wall, then visit the mud-brick village of Al Hamra or the terraces of Misfat Al Abriyeen on the way back.
